The primary objective of the Asian Precipitation Experiment (AsiaPEX)is to advance understanding of terrestrial precipitation across diverse hydroclimatological conditions enabling improved predictions, disaster risk mitigation, and sustainable development throughout the Asian region.
The project’s key activity, the Asian Monsoon Years-II (AMY-II) field campaign, will span two years, beginning with the 2028/29 winter monsoon season through the 2030 summer monsoon season.

The AsiaPEX AMY-II Brainstorming Workshop will revolve around the proposed initial Plan for AMY-II field campaign which will begin from 2028/29 winter monsoon and will continue to 2030 summer monsoon.

The AsiaPEX AMY-II Brainstorming workshop will take place on August 8, 2026, from 09:30 to 15:00 JST following the annual meeting of the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS 2026).
