Global Aerosol Climatology Project (GACP)

Results of aerosol optical thickness from the GOCART (Georgia Tech/Goddard Global Ozone Chemistry Aerosol Radiation and Transport) model are now available from the website. These results are for 1990, 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2001. They include:

• Monthly averaged column total aerosol optical thickness at 500 nm or 550 nm
• Monthly averaged column aerosol optical thickness at 500 nm or 550 nm for individual aerosol types of sulfate, BC, OC, dust, and sea-salt
• Movies of daily total aerosol optical thickness in 2001, for each month, as well as for the entire year of 2001 (caution: some unix workstation may display only still images from the movie files).
