The six sessions (Overview, Challenges & Highlights of the WWRP/THORPEX-WCRP YOTC Project; Madden-Julian Oscillation & Convectively-coupled Tropical Waves; Easterly Waves & Tropical Cyclones; Hierarchical Modeling & Seamless Prediction; Tropical-Extratropical Interaction; and Monsoon Intraseasonal Variability) will be based on keynote oral presentations coordinated with poster presentations. A balanced program of modeling, observations, prediction and diagnostics is sought.
